Spring is certainly in the air at Fairglen.  There are green shoots from the landscaped area reserved for Phase 2 and the 5 year landscaping programme for the site is well underway; trees and shrubbery have been planted and over the last couple of weeks the reed beds have been set up.    Initial remedial and snagging works have commenced and are being supervised by the Percy Williams in house team.

Viewing levels have increased with tremendous positive response as each of these homes is now virtually ready for occupation.  A number of people who have enquired during the construction period are now materialising on site having taking the view that the market has stabilised.  Whilst we have inevitably arrived at the position that people want to buy into the green ethos we are having problems with completing chains though as confidence returns slowly to the market nationally this will result in sales.

We are stepping up our marketing as we feel the time is right to launch a higher profile as the market stabilises and confidence returns to prospective purchasers.  Along with this we will have a part furnished ‘show home’ during May for people to really visualize how their house will look once they move in.

Provisional calculations for energy consumption/generation and water use are now available following ongoing monitoring, the indications are very promising, showing as they do that these houses will have only a fraction of the running costs of a conventional home.

With all the shared equity homes now ‘spoken for’ there are now just four 4 bedroomed homes and one 3 bedroomed semi available though there is dependent interest on three of the five remaining houses.
